Last week we were busy working with Walsh Bay Arts and Commerce on a concierge famil. Each year we bring a group of approximately 20 concierges from Sydney’s five star hotels down to Walsh Bay to showcase one of Sydney’s best kept secrets.
This year we hosted guests from The Hyatt, Pier One Sydney, The Star, Four Seasons, Intercontinental, Pullman Quay Grand and the Shangri La amongst others.
Aside from visiting some of the wonderful cafes and restaurants in Walsh Bay – including Simmer of course – concierges were given a chance to undertake a backstage tour at Sydney Theatre Company and this year they had a preview of the new Kaldor Public Art Project, Marina Abromovic in Residence. We like to make the tour as special as possible!
The final stop on the tour was Simmer on the Bay and it was perfectly timed with the sun just starting to set over the harbour. The concierges enjoyed a delicious grazing table with fresh produce from Brigid’s Farm, The Loch, in the Southern Highlands and followed that up with the irresistible picnic slice to take away.
The concierges all walked away with invaluable information about some unique Sydney experiences for their guests and a fantastic time was had by all – needless to say no one needed dinner that night!
